Plesiosaur vertebrae
Reptiles, which include dinosaurs in some classifications, have undifferentiated
teeth and a different bone structure to mammals, as they are cold blooded.
They usually lay eggs. The first reptiles appear in the Carboniferous period.
The three plesiosaur vertebrae shown in the picture were found holding open
the door in a taxidermist's shop and probably came from the English Jurassic. |
